ABOUT THIS CLASS

As the legalized cannabis industry emerges, it is essential that we as industry pioneers work to lift the stigma that surrounds the cannabis plant.

While growing a cannabis business requires skill, financial backing, and knowledge of the industry, it also requires civic and community engagement to truly succeed at this point in history in the cannabis sector.

This workshop will highlight ways  that these   2 types of engagement can help establish, build, and market your company which, in turn, will help increase company profit.

YOU WILL LEARN

- Learn ways to be involved in your community

- How community involvement   will help grow your brand and public presence

-   How to become involved with your  local and national legislators and initiatives / bills that will make a difference for your company (and the cannabis industry overall)

-   Methods for creating and growing partnerships with community and national organizations
ABOUT THE TEACHER
LEAH MAURER

Leah is a canna-journalist and advocate who lives in Portland, Oregon. She was very involved in cannabis legalization there, founding a group called Moms for YES on Measure 91 in 2014. She is one of the owners of TheWeedBlog.com, the number one website for cannabis news and information. She also helped found and launch Portland's Women Grow chapter and lead it for over a year.

At the core, though, Leah is a cannabis legalization activist and hopes to see the prohibition of cannabis end on a federal level.
